Running own caseload of non-standard cases, effective and professional handling of client instructions as well as assisting with providing high quality know how and legal support to other departments/junior members of team.

DIMENSIONS

Reporting to a Manager within the Technical Team.
Having targets to achieve, monthly and annually
Based in Bradford on a day to day basis though some travelling to clients and attendance at court will be required
Overnight stays away may be required


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Running a caseload of non-standard cases, with minimal supervision, which will include:
- Dealing with all aspects of the case
- Liaising with clients
- Ensuring the client's objectives are met
- Ensuring adherence to client processes
- Utilising a case management system
To supervise and assist more junior members of the team
Interfacing with teams dealing with standard cases
Assisting more senior fee earners with their caseloads
Assisting with the delivery of internal and client training
Assisting with internal know how and precedent bank
Assisting with providing technical legal support to other departments
Work with manager and team to meet personal and team objectives
Attending client meetings and events as required


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Highly organised, flexible, motivated, proactive and quality focused
A keen eye for detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capability to work effectively within a team structure and build relationships quickly
Initiative and the ability to work under pressure

TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified Solicitor
General civil litigation experience including a detailed knowledge of enforcement methods
Experience in debt recovery litigation with particular experience of acting for financial services clients in;
Defended mortgage actions and /or
Defended mortgage shortfall cases and / or
Defended unsecured recoveries cases regulated under the CCA
Experience of running their own caseload
Competence in the use of MS Word and Excel
Experience in using a case management system
